In 2020 the company opened its brand-new headquarters, the Cash App Compound, which is a 15,000 sq ft esports facility and acquired a CDL franchise, LA Thieves. 100 Thieves produces top gaming podcasts and massively popular YouTube content, created by its world-class gaming talent including CouRageJD, Valkyrae, BrookeAB and 2HYPE.

About The Role

100 Thieves is seeking a Director of Communication & Publicity to oversee the development and execution of the 100 Thieves brand story, aimed at telling our story across all of our brand’s audiences, messaging our company’s purpose, business goals and core values as we continue to lead gaming culture forward. In partnership with the Marketing team, you will develop plans to find business stories worth bringing to life, pitch and elevate marquee stories, grow global brand awareness, drive credibility, and increase desirability.


  • 8+ years in brand communications with a proven track record of building and executing successful PR strategies in entertainment, sports or gaming
  • 4+ years in a leadership position in a publicity department or at a PR agency
  • Ability to effectively build relationships and credibility across the organization and external partners
  • Proven ability to pitch stories in unfamiliar industries, turning our beats into newsworthy narratives
  • Ability to balance multiple projects in a fast-paced environment under short timelines
  • Have existing media relationships and a strong understanding of the gaming culture landscape
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; and strong presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and high emotional intelligence


  • Provide strategic expertise to senior management by collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent communication and media relations
  • Oversee company PR strategy and manage corporate PR inquiries and requests
  • Lead public relations planning and outreach to build brand heat and interest; establishing and executing our year long communication plan
  • Pitch and solicit national and regional endemic and non endemic media stories for our brand and the ecosystem of creators and products that 100 Thieves has in market
  • Maintain relationships with accomplished writers in market, creating brand communication kits that keep interest at an all time high throughout the year
  • Provide counsel and strategy for branding; well-versed in the principles of global media relations
  • Develop and leverage internal and external partnerships and networks to maximize the achievement of business goals by sponsoring and leading key community outreach and involvement initiatives
  • Act as the key contact for agency relationships ensuring integration with the brand, setting strategy, overseeing project planning and execution are tactically executed
