Job Description

As the Head of Player Admins, you will play a key role in facilitating the operation and competitive excellence of Evil Geniuses’ gaming division. In this role, the gaming division is seeking to reinforce the infrastructure, processes and information pipelines that will ensure best-in-class operations around the globe.

You will report to the Director of Gaming Operations, serving as liaison between the Director of Operations and Player Admins. You will manage the Player Admins’ day to day and will be responsible for ensuring the global execution of our team’s logistics and operations, ensuring the team admins are equipped to make informed decisions, support its players, and ultimately continue the drive towards competitive success.

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage Team Admins and foster their professional growth through leadership and mentorship
  • Responsible for execution of team operations including bootcamp planning, tournament participation and all respective logistics around travel, equipment, merchandise, food and wellness services
  • Assist with team immigration requirements and travel documentation
  • Lead communication to source, secure and manage third party vendors through EG guiding principles and legal process
  • Work with AP and Finance to timely vendor payments and reimbursements are received
  • Create and manage travel and logistics calendars with Player Admin support for Evil Geniuses teams, including competitions, sponsorship activations and player breaks
  • Ensure department adherence to Evil Genius company practices and policies in day-to-day operations; assist with team expense reconciliation and budget adherence
  • Manage key operational documents; drive data collection and ensure player admin records are accurate and organized
  • Assist in management of gaming asana project management boards and information repositories
  • Facilitate partnership and sponsorship requests, managing timelines, approvals and execution in conjunction with team admins
  • Build trusting, collaborative relationships with team members and stakeholders to achieve key business objectives
  • Assist the Director of Gaming Operations in the improvement and execution of gaming department processes
  • Ensure all talent has best in class experience when competing for Evil Geniuses

What You’ll Need:

  • Minimum of 5 years working experience within operations or similar field; experience in team operations management preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in people management
  • Works well in autonomy; proactively works through problems and creates solutions
  • Capable of working well with diverse personalities; ability to work with different levels from senior management to players and talent
  • Self-starter with ability to execute under high urgency and high responsibility
  • Strong communication, organization, project management, and critical thinking skills
  • Detail oriented with experience in handling multiple projects, requests, and priorities at the same time; demonstrated prioritization
  • High integrity as the role includes financial planning
  • Ability to build positive working relationships, both internally and externally; strong team collaborator and encourager
  • Ability to translate objectives into actionable plans
  • Public speaking, presentation, oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient at Excel a plus

Evil Geniuses currently requires all employees as a condition of employment to either be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or submit to regular testing. The CDC defines “fully vaccinated” as two weeks after the second dose for Pfizer and Moderna, and two weeks after the single dose of Johnson & Johnson. Evil Geniuses will also require proof of vaccination and/or testing.
