The global esports market generated over $1 billion in annual revenues in 2021; that’s a 50% increase from last year, driven primarily from sponsorships and advertising to an estimated global audience of 600 million fans. Team Liquid (TL) is a world-renowned professional esports organization with offices in Santa Monica, CA, and the Netherlands; also ranked as one of the top three most valuable esports organizations by Forbes. We’re well on our way to helping shape the world of esports, all thanks to our incredible fans, athletes, influencers, content creators, Liquid+, and Liquipedia (the world’s most extensive esports wiki).

The Opportunity

Are you a skilled presenter and excellent verbal communicator pressing the pulse of culture who can make presentations and pitch decks that get partners excited about what the future holds? Do you have previous experience managing creatives, partners, and stakeholders? Would you consider yourself a proactive and motivated marketing expert who’s empathetic and an active listener? Can you look at a brief or a set of deliverables and build an approach to execute successfully? Have you utilized marketing briefs to manage and run social media and content marketing campaigns? If so, you could be a perfect fit for the Marketing Manager role currently available at Team Liquid. We work with some of the world’s biggest and most well-known brands. Honda, Alienware, Coinbase, IMC, Verizon, and many more. We’re looking for Marketing Managers who can help bring to life our commitments with our sponsors in ways that position our fans first.

In the Marketing Manager role, you will be the cornerstone of all our biggest partnerships with three simple goals, build brand love, build fandom and build an audience. You will be responsible for managing the execution of marketing briefs, working closely with Partnerships Managers and other stakeholders to understand our opportunity areas, and strategizing to meet those needs at a creative and media level to build alignment around a marketing strategy and creative vision catered to the esports community, Team Liquid fans, and consumers of our brand sponsors.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Organizing complex deliverable matrixes into simple campaigns
  • Delivering sponsored content with complete organic social deliverables to market the marketing.
  • Strategizing on what work will really move the needle with our audiences.
  • Gaining an understanding of our audiences at a deep level to connect with them.


What You’ll Need:

  • 5+ years of experience at a digital advertising agency or client-side with a focus on executing creative strategies that meet marketing goals
  • Previous experience working with briefs and stakeholders to build alignment around a marketing strategy and creative vision with a focus on managing predominantly social media and content marketing campaigns
  • An understanding of what our competitors are doing to promote fandom and engagement
  • Proven track record of delivering and creating 360 campaigns from strategic creation to final delivery while building the foundation of brand identity with a unique creative platform
  • Previous experience successfully managing other creatives, partners, and stakeholder management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
