Job Description

SPORTFIVE UK is recruiting an Account Manager to join the Partnership Marketing team to work on one of our biggest client accounts with a core focus on esports and competitive gaming. You will join a team experienced in creating, selling, managing and activating sponsorship campaigns for brands and will work with premium rights holders. Account management experience combined with knowledge and passion for traditional sports and esports will be key for this role.

With a primary focus of working directly with one of the most successful games publishers in the world, the role will allow development and the ability to build invaluable contacts, experience and expertise across the wider esports gaming and ecosystem (both internally and externally), working alongside tier 1 esports organisations and many other stakeholders on a global, regional and local league basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the day to day management and activation of a global partner in sport
  • General account management and day-to-day ongoing support of key partners
  • Client relationship management
  • Leading weekly status calls and meetings and responsible for regular client reporting
  • Managing multiple stakeholders across key football organisations, leagues and partner clubs
  • Working collaboratively with cross functional teams e.g. Legal, Finance, Commercial etc.
  • Working closely with the client on content creation, marketing assets and partnership materials
  • Managing marketing approvals across multiple stakeholders
  • Developing and presenting creative activation and marketing proposals
  • Organising and attending events where relevant – international travel may be required
  • Managing client partnership inventory
  • Coordinating and creating season-long reports and activation debriefs on behalf of client
  • Managing activation budgets and invoicing processes




Key Requirements

  • Must have account management / partnership activation experience (minimum 3 years)
  • A clear passion and knowledge for traditional sport with a strong interest in esports and gaming
  • Exceptional relationship building skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with flawless attention to detail
  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
  • Presentational skills – creating and presenting
  • Budgetary and invoicing experience

Desirable Requirements

  • Business proficiency in languages other that English
  • Experience of working with a club, league or federation of any traditional sport or esports
