Evil Geniuses (EG) is looking for an experienced Senior HR Business Partner to support the business side of our team. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring all team members have an experience that is representative of our mission and core values. Focusing on how to help all team members work together more efficiently through modernized people programs that provide support.

You will partner closely with the Chief Culture Office, business leaders, the People Team and shared services HR teams. You will help to build and be responsible for our, performance and development program, leadership day to day coaching, employee relations, engagement and retention strategies, compensation strategy and design, headcount planning, talent planning, org design support, and identifying learning needs.

What You’ll Do:

  • Building relationships with business leaders, team members, and within the HR organization across our parent company and investors PEAK6 and Fosun Sports Group, shared services, and Evil Geniuses
  • Leadership of the HR Operations
  • Build and run People Programs across EG (onboarding, offboarding, performance, development, compensation, engagement, retention, talent planning, etc.) with an eye to the bespokeness of our athletes, content creators, and global workforce and each of their unique nuances and needs
  • Managing and resolving complex team members relations issues. Conducting effective, thorough, and objective investigations Ensuring all policies, compliance and laws are followed
  • Providing day to day performance management and policy guidance to business leaders (e.g. coaching, counseling, career development, and disciplinary actions)
  • Developing and implementing change management strategies to support critical evolution of the business and achieve desired business results that are sustainable over time
  • Ensure and build effective processes and structure to support HR operations
  • Drive data-based people decisions with reporting and analysis that leadership (CEO/ELT) can use to make decisions related to the people experience
  • Strong executive presence and the ability to present ideas and plans at the executive level

What You’ll Bring:

  • 6+ years of experience working in a high-growth, fast-paced, and changing environment
  • Proven partnership ability – both strategist and practitioner of People programs – with a strong track record of successfully implementing people programs and initiatives
  • Ability to work within a matrixed organization while communicating efficiently and effectively to decision makers
  • Data driven and proven analytical ability to help drive decision making
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to build and implement
  • Experience setting up companies with HR Operations and employee experience globally preferred
  • Low ego, understands personal success is directly linked to EG’s success
  • Strong interpersonal skills for working in a highly collaborative, cross-functional team environment
  • Effective time management skills to maintain multiple projects with complex details and timelines
  • Strong and consistent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Team player with the ability to project confidence, a positive attitude, good judgement, and a solutions-oriented approach under pressure
  • Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced, results oriented environment
  • Personal interest in esports is a plus

Evil Geniuses currently requires all employees as a condition of employment to either be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or submit to regular testing. The CDC defines “fully vaccinated” as two weeks after the second dose for Pfizer and Moderna, and two weeks after the single dose of Johnson & Johnson.
